As a Cloud Solutions Architect at Mobilise, you will have the opportunity to provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK public sector organisations.
With expertise in translating business requirements into technology requirements and defining standards and principles.
This role will require you to lead assignments and be responsible for supervising direct reports whilst ensuring the overall success of the client engagement.
This role will involve significant stakeholder engagement, dealing directly with the client, including in resolving day-to-day issues involved in assignment delivery and developing follow-on opportunities, so excellent interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.
Day-to-day responsibilities for the Cloud Solutions Architect include:
1. Work closely with the business in identifying solution requirements and key case-studies/scenarios for the future solution.
2. Design and prototype cloud infrastructure, create infrastructure and security architecture documents covering deep technical aspects of the implementation.
3. Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live".
4. Oversee the cloud system engineering efforts and provide technical help as needed.
5. Day-to-day lead the client through the technical and organisational challenges of Cloud transformation.
6. Suggest competitive and innovative technical decisions, get client buy-in and deliver on commitments.
7. Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, including RFP processing, proposal development, and direct communications with potential clients.
8. Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
9. Consult and provide technical guidance on cloud solutions design, build, governance, security, operations, and cost control best practices.
10. Create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
Qualifications and Experience:
Mobilise works predominantly within the UK Public Sector, so experience within this sector is desirable. The fast-moving nature of our environment, together with the need to resource multiple, ad-hoc assignments, also requires our consultants to be quick thinkers, proactive, and self-motivated – with the ability to apply a structured approach to often unfamiliar subject matter.
The following attributes and areas of experience will make you particularly suited to this role with Mobilise:
1. Expertise in traditional IT and data architecture, with a desire to work more in AWS and Azure Cloud - our training programmes will provide the transitional skills.
2. Expertise in cloud architecture and history of successful implementation of complex cloud-first solutions.
3. Experience architecting or deploying cloud solutions in enterprise customer environments.
4. Experience architecting, designing, and migrating workloads to AWS/Azure.
5. Strong communication skills, ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language.
6. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
