About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in leading the development and implementation of analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and mentoring analytics development teams and possess deep expertise in Power BI and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analytics Development:
* Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
* Ensure data accuracy, performance, and usability in all analytics solutions.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
1. Technical Expertise:
* Utilise advanced Power BI features, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query and dataflows.
* Integrate Power BI with various data sources, such as SQL databases, cloud services and APIs.
* Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Work closely with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored analytics solutions.
* Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
* Provide training and support to end-users to maximise the value of analytics tools.
About You
You’ll bring extensive analytics engineer experience gained through a combination of industry and consulting roles. You will be comfortable developing and strengthening peer-to-peer level relationships at all levels with our clients.
Ideally, you will have as much of the following experience as possible:
* Experience in analytics engineering or a related field.
* Experience with Microsoft Power BI, including advanced data modeling and Microsoft Purview.
* Proven track record in a consultancy or client-facing role is highly desirable.
* Strong team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
* Proficient in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
* Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies is a plus (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
