Job Description
Service Care Solutions is seeking a skilled Principal Policy Planner for a Local Authority in Liverpool.
You will assist in the preparation, review, and monitoring of the Liverpool Local Plan and Supplementary Planning Documents, ensuring a modern, customer-focused planning service.
This is a full time, temporary assignment offering £37 per hour Umbrella LTD (£29.50 per hour PAYE).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of planning policy documents.
2. Liaise with local authorities and key stakeholders on strategic planning issues.
3. Mentor and guide junior staff, manage project work, and oversee public consultations.
4. Present evidence at public inquiries and examinations.
5. Manage resources effectively, ensuring delivery within budget.
Qualifications:
6. Degree/Diploma in Town Planning (RTPI recognized).
7. Experience in urban Local Plan preparation and monitoring.
8. Strong knowledge of planning policy legislation and processes.
9. Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
10. Ability to manage workloads independently and lead a team.
