This is a fixed term contract min 9 months.
Reporting into the People department, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of weekly payroll always ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective management of JDM benefits schemes and the main contact point for labour providers; completing all daily and weekly requirements as well as management of six-monthly agency audits, to ensure adherence to all applicable laws.
Pull reports of statistical data for the People team to use in the very best management of people. Support Administration within the People function such as letter writing, organising employee gifts and awards etc.
Train Management teams on how to process their employee data to complement the payroll system.
This role will be 5 days on-site at JDM Food Group.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Manage electronic timekeeping systems to review working times for employees, reporting any concerns to supervisors and/or managers.
2. Calculating payable hours, overtime, bonuses, holidays, sickness and any other relevant payments and deductions.
3. Management of employee holidays to ensure no overtaken holidays.
4. Entering employee information and payroll data into the system utilising new starter information that is provided.
5. Updating leavers within payroll system and within internal systems, archiving files.
6. Collecting and verifying time sheets for operational departments.
7. Processing new employees, promotions, changes and terminations in SAGE.
8. Preparing and issuing reports on a weekly basis.
9. Monitoring working time and hours of employees in line with WTR.
10. Issuing pay slips to all employees.
11. Maintaining and updating any employee records in relation to SAGE.
12. Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
13. Issuing statements detailing earnings and deductions as and when required.
14. Completion of references for all employees.
15. Investigating and resolving any payroll discrepancies.
16. Preparing periodic payroll reports.
17. Data input for KPI information.
18. Year End processing.
19. Maintaining and updating all Employee benefits including pensions, WPA Healthcare and JDM Rewards Schemes.
20. Daily management of agency timesheets and authorisation of weekly agency invoices.
21. Management of agency audits, annually.
22. Administration for the People function as required.

Skills Required
1. Previous experience of working within a Payroll Supervisory role with a payroll background.
2. Sound knowledge of all Payroll related processes.
3. Strong IT skills essential – In particular, SAGE Payroll and Excel knowledge such as formulas, pivot tables etc.
4. Attention to detail is a must for this position.
