Within Grid Solutions, the Grid Systems Integration (GSI) Business Line is accountable for Product Development, Business Development, Sales, Project Execution, and Services of high voltage Alternative & Direct Current complete solutions, including Engineering, Procurement, and associated Construction (EPC).
Typical customers of GSI are worldwide Transmission, Distribution, Power Generation Utilities and Developers, as well as a wide range of Industrial customers.
Job Description
Role Summary / Purpose
* HVDC market is growing faster than other segments, and GSI ambition is to grow faster than the market in this segment.
* Reporting to the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader, the NSE HVDC Segment Leader is responsible for ensuring that the NSE Region secures a significant share of this growing HVDC market in coordination with the GSI Sales & Tendering teams, Marketing teams, and Global Account Managers.
* The NSE HVDC Leader contributes to the definition of GSI NSE Region strategic positioning on the HVDC market, manages the HVDC Pipeline, develops Customer Intimacy with regional Key Accounts, and is involved in critical negotiations.
Essential Responsibilities
Contribute to the definition of the GSI NSE Region strategic positioning on HVDC:
* Coordinate with the GSI HVDC Segment Leader, continuously collect information, and interact with market stakeholders.
* Develop a structured view of the HVDC market in the NSE Region, its segmentation, volume, and trends.
* Contribute to the definition of a vision and strategy to maximize profitable growth for GSI NSE on the HVDC market.
* Support the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader to translate the validated HVDC vision and strategy into concrete commercial action plans.
Develop Customer intimacy with Key Accounts:
* Develop knowledge of and relationships with Key Accounts following HVDC projects.
HVDC Pipeline creation & management:
* Support the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader for HVDC pipeline identification and management.
* Prioritize HVDC opportunities based on winning chances and alignment with reference solutions.
HVDC Proposal Management lead - People Leader
* Oversee all GSI Proposal Management activities related to HVDC opportunities in the GSI NSE Region.
* Accountable for order intake volume and associated profit for the HVDC segment.
* Ensure GSI offers are executable and competitive.
* Manage the Region Proposal Managers assigned to HVDC opportunities.
Code of Ethic, EHS, and processes:
* Comply with the Grid Solutions Sales & Tendering process and GE Code of Ethics.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience.
* Extensive years of work experience in commercial, sales, and/or marketing functions.
* Experience in large and complex technical B2B sales in an international environment.
* Experience in Energy & Industry market is an advantage.
