Description Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for a Senior Computer Technician to provide support and maintenance to various equipment for MSC’s Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kits (MECKs). Primary responsibilities include: • Work with a dedicated MECK support team to ensure operability and compliance for all associated equipment • Perform monitoring and maintenance for Windows 10 systems including installing updates, conducting routine health checks, ensuring IA compliance, hardware/software troubleshooting, and repair • Assist with networking issues (e.g. IP based) for antenna communications • Run and interpret scans to ensure IA compliance • Develop SOPs, drawings, and associated system documentation • Maintain a tracking system to outline the IA posture and operability status for all associated assets and equipment to ensure a “ready to deploy” status Requirements • Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M • Must have or be able to earn within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M • Must have 5 years’ experience supporting Windows products, to include building/troubleshooting/repairing/upgrading laptops, image/cloning tools, STIG remediation, ACAS, Group Policy, PowerShell, and HBSS/Endpoint Protection • Must be able to run and interpret ACAS/Nessus scans, STIG checklists, SCAP scans, and provide remediation/mitigation guidance on Windows systems for team to execute • Should have experience in interfacing Windows laptops with various communication equipment • Must have experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and/or maintaining routers and switches • Must be able to lift 50 lbs • Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
