There are a number of shifts for Band 5 Bank Staff Nurses across varying divisions at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. This Trust was the first trust in the country to be awarded 'teaching hospitals' status and we provide award winning educational programs for nursing staff. We are committed to staff development and provide encouragement and support to staff to continue their lifelong learning. You will work as an integral member of the team, providing a high standard of nursing care. You must be highly motivated and able to demonstrate good communication skills. We welcome newly qualified or experienced nurses to apply who have completed their 12 month preceptorship, where you can be assured of working in an environment that values you as an individual and holds 'care and compassion' at the heart of everything we do.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Appropriate NMC Registration.
* RN1, RN2 General Nursing Posts.
* RN8 or RNC Children's Nursing Posts.
* Diploma in Nursing.
* NMC recognised Mentorship qualification or willingness to work towards following 18 months commencement in post.
* Evidence of continuing education or development for more experienced Band 5 nurses.
* Degree.
Knowledge
* Recent and relevant health care experience in an acute hospital setting (at least 150hrs in last 3 months).
* Evidence of clinical competence in area of speciality eg surgery.
