JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Member of team supporting campus-wide audio and visual (A/V) equipment and infrastructure critical to course delivery, project collaborations, and campus events. Responsible for the preventative maintenance, documentation and equipment inventory. Assist with troubleshooting A/V problems and provide immediate in-person support to faculty, students, and staff across campus.
Compensation ranges from $49,500 to $55,000 annually, depending on experience, and includes excellent benefits: 5 weeks of paid time off, 13 holidays, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, a 9.5% retirement match after 12-months, disability and life insurance, tuition assistance (including full WPI tuition for dependents after 3 years), free access to the fitness center, wellness resources, flexible summer hours, employee discounts, and ERG participation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and administer preventative maintenance schedule of various A/V equipment throughout campus.
• Create, deploy, and maintain end-user instructions of AV equipment for online and on-location user reference.
• Respond to customer problems and provide immediate in-person support to faculty, students, and staff.
• Manage inventory of A/V equipment, accessories, and supplies.
• Provide training and assistance to Academic Technology Center (ATC) staff as needed to ensure quality integrated solutions are available for smooth classroom and event functions.
• Collaborate with other ATC staff in the planning and delivery of high-profile events such as commencement and Admissions open houses.
• Use Service Desk ticketing system to process A/V related requests and incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Comparable work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or installing A/V equipment in an academic or corporate environment.
• Familiarity with A/V systems such as switchers, projectors, interfaces, IP controlled/monitored systems, lecture capture devices and video conference systems.
• Ability to interpret audio and video systems flow charts.
• Computer skills including word-processing and spreadsheets.
• Successful candidate will be well organized with good interpersonal and project/time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Some evening and weekends hours may be required.
