A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust (MAT) based in Lincolnshire is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team from January 2025. The Trust, known for its commitment to educational excellence and financial sustainability, is looking for a strategic financial leader to drive its financial strategy and ensure the long-term success of its schools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic financial leadership across the Trust, ensuring the effective management of all financial operations, budgeting, and reporting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies that support the Trust’s educational objectives and long-term sustainability.
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
* Lead the financial planning and analysis functions, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and funding bodies.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
* Support the Trust Board and senior leadership team in making informed financial decisions.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems across the Trust.
* Provide leadership and development for the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the education sector or a similarly complex, multi-site organization.
* Strong understanding of financial regulations, particularly within the context of the education sector and Multi Academy Trusts.
* Demonstrable experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a finance team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
