Description
* Provide fundraising stewardship to people taking part in challenges through telephone calls and emails.
* Resolve day-to-day queries about the running of the online fundraising pages as they arise, as well as more general fundraising queries.
* Follow up with people experiencing difficulties and encourage them to achieve fundraising deadlines.
* Identify higher fundraisers and offer more personalised support and help, developing a pipeline where appropriate.
* Follow up with fundraisers who miss deadlines to offer extra support and motivation.
* Cross-promote activities to supporters.
* Work with internal teams such as Events, Support, Finance, Social Media, and PR.
* Communicate issues and answer internal fundraising queries from other teams, working collaboratively to maximise income and ensure the smooth running of the department.
* Help manage the processes and administration for fundraising items such as collection tubs, buckets, and banners.
* Assist with the development of fundraising activities such as working with fundraising groups, community fundraising, promoting the lottery, monthly donors, potential leavers of legacies, and giving campaigns. Bring experience and advice to help with the growth and development of new income streams.
* Write social media posts, blogs, and emails for mass communications, liaising with the Social Media team and updating content on the website as required.
* Assist with the training and management of more junior staff as required.
* Support the Head of Fundraising as required and provide regular updates.
* Recognise opportunities for promoting the charity and be able to maximise them, attending ad hoc events as required.
Profile
* Minimum 1 year of experience in at least one area of fundraising; must have worked in a fundraising department (Essential).
* Customer support experience.
* Good problem-solving abilities.
* Good understanding of current technology.
* Experience in multi-tasking and prioritising.
* Experienced in meeting people face-to-face and building relationships.
* Ability to spot opportunities and take advantage of them.
