The Emergency Department has an exciting opportunity for two full time, permanent, Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner posts to applicants with a post graduate diploma qualification in advanced clinical practice. The successful candidates will have the characteristics and skills necessary to shepherd change and ongoing improvement within the Emergency Department.
The successful candidate will have current Full NMC registration, be a qualified and experienced Independent Prescriber (V300) with Advanced Clinical Examination Skills & History Taking and Pathophysiology modules and will be able to demonstrate objective evidence of ability to perform autonomously at Masters Level (SCQF 11).
To achieve Band 7, applicants must have Post Graduate Diploma at Masters Level in Advanced Clinical Practice or credentialed with evidence of education and clinical experience of working autonomously at Masters Level.
The post holder will be expected to exercise a high level of personal professional autonomy and make clinical judgements in line with advanced practice to satisfy the expectations and clinical demands of the role. It is essential all applicants have the ability to undertake clinical assessment of the acutely unwell patient and initiate clinical management plans in order to improve clinical outcomes for patients.
Successful applicants must be able to work both day, night and weekend shift hours and integrate into the Emergency Department working across all clinical areas within ED, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
