Bid Manager - Grounds Maintenance

Lead the bids function and manage a small in-house team
We’re working with a national grounds maintenance provider - part of one of the world’s largest home services group.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on writing, winning, and managing people.
You’ll oversee all live bid submissions, develop team capability, and act as a strategic point of contact across the business.
The Bid Manager will:
* Lead end-to-end management of tenders, from planning to submission
* Oversee and quality-check all written content and reports
* Line-manage two bid writers with a focus on performance and development
* Act as the central point of contact for tender stakeholders across the business
* Drive consistency, process, and continuous improvement across all submissions
Essential Skills:
* Strong bid writing background (no industry experience needed)
* Solid understanding of tenders, PQQs, and public sector procurement
* Experience managing or mentoring a small team
* Sharp attention to detail and high standards for written content
* Comfortable engaging at all levels—internal and external
