The Vale of Glamorgan is looking for a Practitioner Manager, who is dynamic, creative and cares about helping families achieve their outcomes, to support the development of our new Interventions Hub.
This Hub will help to deliver the right help at the right time, matching needs to services, taking a strength-based approach.

About the role
Pay Details : Grade 10 SCP 36 - 39 40 £45,718 - £48,710 p.a (Pro Rata), £23.70 - £25.25 (Hourly Rate)
Salary on appointment will depend upon qualification and experience as determined by the appointing officer.
Hours of Work / Working Pattern : 37 (with weekend on-call rota)

Description: To support the development of our Interventions Hub, creating a bespoke support service to respond to the needs of children and young people in their communities and to maximise the impact of our directly provided and commissioned support services.
To provide leadership and management for an expanding service that will offer relationship-based interventions to children and families involved with statutory services (including edge of care and crisis support).
Staff will be offered support as and when needed, so participation in an out of hours on call rota will be necessary.
About you
You will need :
A thorough understanding of the needs of children who need care and support and experience of supervising others, alongside a commitment to relationship-based practice with children, young people and their families.
A recognized social care/education qualification alongside relevant experience. Where substantial experience in safeguarding and/or improving outcomes for people in a health or social care context can be demonstrated, applications from candidates who are qualified to degree level or higher (in any subject) will be accepted.
Examples of relevant social care/education qualifications are (but not limited to):
11. a degree in Social Work (or Social Care Wales equivalent),
12. a nursing or allied health care qualification,
13. a teaching or education qualification,
14. a degree in Early Years/Childhood Studies
15. a Level 5 Diploma in either Leadership for Health and Social Services or Children’s Care, Learning and Development
