If youre a nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedic, you could use your skills differently as aFunctional Assessor. Our client provides unbiased, comprehensive assessments for claimants of the Governments disability allowance (Personal Independence Payment), over the phone or either at one of our assessment centres. Were looking for people with the compassion and experience to understand our claimants health conditions/disabilities and how they impact their lives. And we need people who can balance that with great computer skills, impartiality and strong time management. Day to Day You will be conducting initial paper based reviews to evaluate how a claimants health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life. Our client's model means youll be based at entirely at home for the first twelve months and assigned to work from your nearest Office after then on a rota basis. Youll spend additional time in our centres or office locations to catch up with your manager and wider team or attend in-person training sessions.. Our Offer Its a challenging role and can be quite different from other healthcare professions, and thats why our client takes your training and development seriously. Youll begin with a 7 week, training programme (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) with time set aside for self-development learning. The first six months can be the most difficult, so well be there to support you, with close mentorship provided as you work on your ongoing development. The salary starts at £43,875 per annum (pro rata for part-time) Your requirements one year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedic fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper the ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such MS Teams
