A new opportunity for a Hygiene Specialist to join a major player in their market in the food industry!
This is a brand new role offering as a vital member of the team, maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
Your role will be responsible for carrying out thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitising tasks, ensuring that all areas meet both internal and external hygiene standards.
You will play an integral part in supporting the overall efficiency and safety of the operations.
With training provided in specialist areas like scissor lifts and chemical dosing, you'll be well-equipped to handle a range of tasks in line with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform cleaning and sanitisation duties across multiple production areas site, including production lines, equipment, and high level and confined spaces.
2. Carry out pre- and post-cleaning inspections to ensure the equipment is clean, undamaged, and ready for use.
3. Adhere to the company's hygiene protocols and health and safety regulations at all times.
4. Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are used correctly and safely.
5. Identify and report any maintenance or cleanliness issues that may affect operational efficiency.
6. Support in maintaining hygiene records and documentation in compliance with industry standards such as BRC, customer standards and food safety regulations.
7. Work closely with the team to ensure the hygiene team meets daily targets and contributes to a smooth-running operation.
8. Assist with regular audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations.
What you need:
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role, ideally within a regulated environment such as food production, healthcare, or manufacturing.
2. Strong understanding of hygiene standards and health & safety regulations.
3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
4. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
5. Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
6. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks as required.
7. Willingness to work flexible hours if necessary.
