The Medical Device Service supports users of medical equipment across all of our hospital sites within the NCA.
Main duties of the job
You will have a key role in supporting the department's responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and sub-contractor management of medical equipment. This will include first-line support to users of medical equipment to optimize systems uptime to gain maximum use of medical equipment.
Ideally, you will possess a minimum of HNC in Electronics and Clinical Engineering and have relevant experience since qualifying in the field of Medical Electronics. Knowledge in the application and repair of a wide range of medical equipment used in a hospital and community is essential, although some specific training will be provided.
Consideration may be given to applicants with reduced knowledge and skills, who follow a personal development program on a reduced grade.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Electronic Engineering Degree.
Professional Registration
* Registered Clinical Technologist (RCT).
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Experience in a field of electronics maintenance and repair in a workshop environment.
* Specialist knowledge in the application and use of a wide range of medical equipment.
* Knowledge and experience of current legislation recommendations for the management of medical equipment.
* Wide range of supplier-approved training on the servicing and repair of medical equipment.
* Experience of working in an ISO9001 environment.
* Experience of working with suppliers to resolve and manage clinical risk with the use and application of medical devices.
Skills & Abilities
* Full clean UK driving licence.
