Overview:
The Warehouse & Facilities Assistant will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, and inventory management. This role includes receiving and dispatching goods, monitoring stock levels, performing preventive maintenance programs on workshop equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods.
* Prepare and dispatch orders, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
* Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
* Manage stock levels and reorder consumables as required.
* Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock and propose actions to optimize inventory levels.
* Perform regular PMP tasks on workshop equipment, ensuring operational safety.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment service history.
* Organize the collection and disposal of scrap metal and waste bins as needed.
* Ensure waste management processes comply with environmental regulations.
* Monitor the condition of workshop and warehouse areas, reporting and resolving maintenance issues.
* Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across warehouse and facility.
* Conduct routine checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Skills Required:
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Basic technical understanding or workshop equipment maintenance.
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management software (desirable).
Qualification & Experience:
* Previous experience in warehouse operations or facilities management.
* Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures is an advantage.
* Forklift certification.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations.
