As Product Marketing Executive, your role is to thoroughly understand our existing products and new launches to deliver compelling marketing campaigns to help generate the uptake and interest in the product to achieve forecast goals. You’ll be producing customer facing material and messaging for product and feature releases.
You will work closely with the rest of the Product Team to understand the features, benefits, and USPs of the product to deliver marketing literature and support material including sales launch packs, pricing information, internal intranet information, case studies, and more.
You’ll be helping drive commercial success as well as communicating our value to retailers through the promotion of new product releases and feature enhancements.
Responsibilities
Product Releases
1. Work with the wider Product Team to understand when products are due for release and create a strategic ‘go to market’ campaign plan for each major release.
2. Create and distribute customer facing release notes for minor and major releases.
3. Be able to take technical information and translate into the key market messages including features & benefits, problem solution statements, and USPs to successfully deliver the value proposition of the product.
Lead target & sales support
1. Understand the target market, buyer personas, and market positioning for each new product/ enhancement and work with the Commercial and Product teams on developing a suitable price point and market position.
2. Responsibility for bringing in sales leads in line with the forecast for each product launch.
3. Produce sales support packs and work closely with the Commercial Team to help them articulate the value proposition and customer messaging.
Communications & Collateral
1. Create and maintain accurate product marketing literature for each product & service.
2. Work with the Product Team to create collateral for internal teams for releases.
3. Analyse customer data to support tailored marketing and messaging to particular segments/personas of customer.
4. Understand the success of our products and produce case studies and success stories.
Collaboration
1. Work with third parties & industry partners on joint product marketing campaigns.
2. Work closely with the Brand & Communications team on communications timings and planning to ensure maximum customer engagement.
3. Work with the Brand & Communications team, providing them with messaging for social media, website, and newsletters.
4. Support the Product Team with market research and competitor analysis including keeping a keen eye on relevant industry media and social channels and sharing this information with stakeholders.
5. Contribute to the SWOT & PESTLE analyses.
Analysis & Reporting
1. Analyse and report on the success of campaigns.
2. Report on the engagement with communications including release notes.
3. Work with the Commercial Team to ensure product leads are correctly recorded and actioned.
About you
Essential
1. At least 3 years’ experience in a B2B product marketing environment.
2. Experience of creating successful go-to-market campaign plans.
3. Able to evidence product launch campaign success.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Good data analysis skills to collate statistics into useable reports and case study data.
6. Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
7. Comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders including customers, third party marketing teams, and industry press.
8. Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
9. Ability to understand technical information and translate into customer friendly language.
Beneficial
1. Experience of marketing SaaS product launches.
2. Design experience (including Photoshop, InDesign, Canva or equivalents).
3. Understanding of the automotive industry – particularly used car dealerships.
4. Experience of using Zoho.
5. Experience of using Mail Chimp.
