We are now seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Spa Manager to join our team and help lead our spa to new heights of excellence.
Role Overview:
The Assistant Spa Manager will work alongside the Spa Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our spa, delivering a high standard of service to our guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a luxury hotel team that takes pride in offering exceptional, bespoke wellness experiences. The Assistant Spa Manager will oversee the daily operations, supervise the spa team, and maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the day-to-day management of the spa, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training.
* Ensure the spa is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service.
* Oversee guest services and ensure the delivery of a personalised, seamless experience for all spa visitors.
* Assist in the development of spa treatment menus, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance revenue.
* Manage and control spa inventory, ensuring that products are stocked and readily available for services.
* Monitor and achieve financial targets, including spa revenue and expense management.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
* Conduct performance reviews and offer support and development opportunities for spa staff.
* Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of new team members.
* Support the Spa Manager in implementing marketing strategies to promote the spa services and products.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a spa or wellness environment (preferably in a luxury setting).
* A deep understanding of spa treatments, products, and wellness trends.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
* Financial acumen and experience in achieving and exceeding business goals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards within the spa industry.
* A commitment to personal and professional development, with a proactive attitude to learning.
Qualifications:
* A relevant qualification in Spa Management, Beauty Therapy, or related field is desirable.
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience using spa management software is advantageous.
