Summary Of The Role
Develop and grow sales of Seeds, Fertilizers and other farm inputs while managing purchases of Grain from growers for our Trading team to market.
Provide customers with information about all our farm services including storage capabilities, grain marketing, agronomy packages, haulage and feeds wherever there is opportunity to do so.
You will need to be knowledgeable, keeping up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends and all of our products and services to be able to inform and advise our customers.
Role
To be successful in the role, you will need sound understanding of on-farm sales, arable farming, grain buying. Ideally you will be qualified with experience gained within a similar role and able to develop a working customer portfolio within the areas in and around:
1. Oxfordshire
2. Northamptonshire
3. Hertfordshire
4. Buckinghamshire
5. Berkshire
About You
The role of Farm Trader is an excellent opportunity for an experienced arable farm specialist to join the business. Ideally you will hold a BASIS qualification or have studied and or worked in arable agriculture to an advanced level. Alternatively, you may have hands-on farm management experience or have held a role in a similar business making arable farm sales with a serviced customer base that you have been able to successfully grow. Knowledge of fertilizers and crop nutrition will also be advantageous.
You will need to hold and maintain a UK Driving License to be able to carry out this role and as you will be required to make on-farm visits and other trips as the company needs.
