Anderson Strathern’s Marketing & BD team delivers strategic marketing campaigns and targeted BD activities across the business and this role is vital in supporting the firm’s growth ambitions. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for business development activities in support of our rural, private client, commercial property and residential teams in particular assisting with credentials and pitches, running events, as well as using data to support and inform future activity.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Planning, organisation, follow up and reporting of events alongside the BD Manager.
* Compiling and co-ordinating guests lists and responses.
* On-the-day events support whether online or in-person events.
* Co-ordinating BD material in-house and via external agencies.
* Writing, designing and supporting business development material and communications.
* Generating relevant content for social media and thought leadership.
* Researching the market and keeping the departments up to date with opportunities and threats.
* Being the liaison between the departments you work with and supporting implementation of their individual departmental and sector plans.
* General duties to support the marketing and business development team and its initiatives when required.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must be proactive and highly organised with a solid grounding in all things marketing. You’ll have:
* Very strong organisational skills and a good attention to detail.
* Experience of organising successful client facing events.
* Confidence to challenge and contribute constructively to meetings of people at all levels.
* Ability to be creative and resourceful in sourcing material and assisting with BD activities.
* A passion for marketing and the ability to add value to the day to day delivery of marketing and business development.
* The natural ability to build strong positive relationships.
Skills required
* Experience of Microsoft Office would be beneficial.
* Knowledge of Adobe Suite would be desirable.
* Experience of working with content management systems, e-newsletter platforms and CRM systems would be helpful.
* Excellent writing skills and a great grasp of English grammar.
* The ability to be highly organised, creative and proactive.
* A team player with the ability to understand and respond to other roles within the team.
