FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
• You will report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for the commercial management of projects.
Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
• Managing and overseeing the commercial aspects of projects and work packages.
• Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to manage, analyse, and control costs.
• Collaborating with clients to ensure business requirements are met.
• Managing the main contract, including issuing and responding to contractual notices and correspondence.
• Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation.
• Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors
• Managing the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
• Preparing project cost, value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Contributing to the management and development of commercial staff through training and mentoring.
• Continuously develop professionally by participating in external networking, conferences, associations, and groups to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
• Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required, consistent with the role's responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality
Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:
• Experience on infrastructure projects (essential).
• Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution (essential).
• Degree or equivalent (essential).
• NEC3 or ICheme Contract Experience (essential).
• Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team (desirable).
