About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Chef to join our team at Chartwells, a leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Food Preparation and Service: Prepare delicious, high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers.
* Menu Development and Implementation: Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure they meet the needs of our clients and customers.
* Quality Assurance: Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes to maintain high-quality standards.
* Customer Feedback and Support: Listen to and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services.
* Creative Menu Development: Support the creation of new menus and creative food concepts that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
* Brand Representation and Image: Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image in the education sector.
* Inventory Management: Monitor inventories to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked with the necessary ingredients and supplies.
* Kitchen Hygiene and Health and Safety: Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards and comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
* Passion for Great-Tasting Food and Exceptional Customer Service: Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
* Culinary Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification.
* Supervisory Experience: Have experience supervising a team.
* Similar Chef Role: Have experience in a similar Chef role.
* Food Hygiene Certificate: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
* Flexible Approach to Working: Have a flexible approach to working.
