Search have partnered with a professional services company in South Birmingham to recruit for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their accounts team and report to the Finance Manager.
This role is suitable to a candidate with good general accounting skills, from a fast paced background where no day is typically the same and has strong attention to detail.
Other aspects include:
* Transactional purchase ledger invoicing
* Raising sales invoices
* Processing payments, BACS and transfers
* Dealing with suppliers and queries
* Month end closure and balance sheet reconciliation for 6 companies.
* Journals, prepayments and accruals.
* Financial reporting
* Assisting with month end accounts
The successful candidate will need to:
* Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good experience reporting to senior stakeholders
* Have ability to meet multiple deadlines
* Be able to establish good working relationships in a cross-functional environment with excellent communication skills.
* Have a positive attitude, flexible approach and a passion to learn
* Wanting to grow and develop and join a fast faced environment.
Salary
£28,000 plus study support if you would like to progress (This is personal to the individual but not a must)

Hybrid working after probation - 2 days from home
