Operatives
An exciting opportunity has arisen for number of individuals to join the Operations team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working 37.5 hours per week on a 2-shift system at our Leyland facility.
What you’ll be doing
As an Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the effective and safe processing of waste at our Leyland facility. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing waste processing, treatment, and general site activities.
Liaising with operations and maintenance teams to optimise facility performance.
Conducting scheduled cleaning and housekeeping tasks, as well as responding to ad-hoc duties.
Supporting continuous improvement and development projects across the site.
Your role will also involve promoting safety by adhering to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies
What you will bring
Whilst training and development opportunities are provided and encouraged for our roles, the following skills and knowledge are desired:
A good standard of education.
Strong team player, self-motivated and the capacity to work without close supervision.
Good verbal and written ability and able to communicate and engage with Team members.

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across our two sites in Leyland and Thornton, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
