Key purpose We are currently recruiting a full time (40 hours per week) Management Accountant, to join our Finance team. The role will be based in our Castleford office 2 days per week. As a recent acquisition of Modaxo, Cammax is going through a period of change. Ideally you will have a proven track record in leading a team through the change management process as well as a history of implementing new processes, controls and systems. You will report directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to our wider finance team. The position will be responsible for all financial aspects of the UK-based Business, where you will work closely together with both the Managing Director as well as the finance team and you will get plenty of opportunities to grow within our finance community. The person will have 2 people in direct line management. Role responsibilities Business Partner: Actively support the Managing Director in defining and executing on business strategy. Provide financial analysis and insight to the business to drive higher quality business decisions. Lead our quarterly forecast process and leverage our proprietary metrics to identify opportunities for operational excellence. Assist project teams to guide their focus onto key performance issues and help them measure their impact and improvement. The role managing the internal IT function (IT support for staff). Reporting: Internal and external reporting including monthly and quarterly reporting to Canada (Head Office). Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L, Management reports, KPIs and variance analysis. Experience with understanding and applying accounting guidelines both internally and externally, ideally including experience with IFRS (especially IFRS15). Finance: Responsible for payroll including commission calculations, accounts payable, inventory, credit control and cash flow statements, intercompany balances, prepayments, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations. Statutory reporting: Responsible for the UK Legal entity and all relevant legal requirements including quarterly VAT returns, annual external audit, financial statement preparation and corporation tax returns. Key Competencies Interested in driving the commercial performance of a business Experience in accounting and controlling in a Project-based business (Inventory management, PoC calculations, Accrued/Deferred Income, Project Margin analysis, Bid Review) Understanding of accounting standards / IFRS Proven experience of designing and implementing new processes and internal controls is essential. Implementation of a new ERP would be desirable Good communication skills, comfortable interacting with different stakeholders throughout the organisation Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written Strong organisational abilities, experience of working to tight deadlines and a hands-on approach to finance Able and willing to take ownership, responsibility and accountability for work.
