Business Analyst
Location: Devon
Salary: Up to £45k DOE
Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing business, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to act as a crucial interface between the business and technology teams. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for translating business needs into clear functional requirements, ensuring successful project delivery and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage Discovery & Roadmap stages, including requirements analysis, process mapping, and solution design.
2. Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements within deadlines.
3. Conduct vendor selections for new technology solutions.
4. Ensure clear communication with business stakeholders, providing regular status reports on project deliverables.
5. Work closely with solution architects to develop appropriate solutions that align with the business case.
6. Manage business readiness during project delivery, ensuring functional requirements are translated into actionable user stories.
7. Produce formal project documentation, including feasibility studies, statements of work, and business readiness plans.
8. Lead retrospectives and post-mortem reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in small to medium change projects within a fast-paced environment.
2. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
3. Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
4. Practical experience in reengineering business processes and implementing change with measurable organisational impact.
5. Familiarity with vendor selection in the technology space.
6. Experience in mapping business processes and developing business cases.
7. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
Desirable Skills:
1. BCS Business Analysis Practitioner certification
2. Experience with PRINCE2, SCRUM, AGILE, or Kanban methodologies.
3. Background in IT development, including full project lifecycle experience.
