Maths Teacher
Start date: April 2025 (or sooner).
Location: Alternative provision, Chesterfield S41.
Daily Rate: £150 - £230
About the role: PK Education are looking to recruit an outstanding Maths Teacher who has previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs. We are looking for someone who has experience of appropriate management techniques for young pupils with SEND, SEMH, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
You will deliver the schools personalised curriculum that is adapted to suit the pupils needs within a safe and structured environment. You will be supported by the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team.
Our ideal candidate will be calm and understanding, patient and be able to communicate with students aged 11-16 who have educational health care plans.
The initial assignment in this post will be to see how well you fit into the setting, which means you need to be fully committed and enthusiastic about making a difference in children’s lives and be willing to delve into using your own initiative to be able to stand out. If the setting you are place in see your potential, they will take you on permanent and will provide you with a clear career progression plan.

Strategies supporting pupils overcome their crisis and support them to deal with the consequences.
Confident in working with SEND and SEMH children.
Must drive with access to a car with business insurance.
