We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager with expertise in the design and integration of high-voltage battery packs, modules, and enclosures for electric vehicles (EVs).
The successful candidate will ensure designs are robust, cost-effective, and meet all technical specifications and safety standards to ensure that the design is compatible with the overall system architecture, including electrical and cooling systems.
What you’ll do…
As a Mechanical Design Manager, you will have responsibility for overseeing the design of high-voltage battery systems for given applications (Automotive, Commercial vehicles and ESS), managing a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and fostering innovation while balancing project timelines, budgets, and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree qualified in Mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
* Proven experience in Mechanical design & Engineering; expertise in the design and integration of high-voltage battery packs, modules, and enclosures for electric vehicles (EVs).
* Proficiency in using CAD software, FEA simulations for structural and thermal analysis of battery components.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* A technical understanding of automotive battery systems is required for this role as well as an ability to build rapport and credibility with engineers.
* Ability to make data-driven, well-informed decisions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Innovative mindset and a commitment to sustainable and high-performance designs.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
