The Company
Our client is a privately owned construction main contractor who works from a number of regional offices. They are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager after successfully securing a number of new contract awards across London & South West England, leading to a sustained period of growth. This growth has led to an increase in turnover. The Company aims to continue this growth in the coming years.
They have developed an excellent reputation in market sectors including: Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Mixed Use, Hotel, Care & Industrial. They pride themselves on the fact that over 60% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients with whom they have built lasting relationships.
The Project Manager Role
As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple (2-3) projects valued between £1m - £10m, addressing issues as they arise. The Project Manager will visit each site weekly and has the flexibility to work from the sites or office as required.
Key Duties:
1. Manage the client relationship from start to finish
2. Manage between 2-3 projects at any given time
3. Program Contracts
4. Control all aspects of each project from inception through to completion including budget control & delivery
5. Head up client meetings and associated issues
6. Implement Health & Safety plans
7. Motivate and inspire teams
8. Liaise on all levels to ensure effective communication is maintained
9. Hand over projects on time, within budget and quality standards
10. Follow all projects through all stages from start to handover and final accounts
Candidates will ideally have previously managed projects within the construction & refurbishment sectors. This role could be suitable for an ambitious Senior Site Manager looking to progress to a more senior role, or an existing Project Manager seeking a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated projects to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards expected by the client and company.
It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of running multiple projects daily with the assistance of site-based Project Managers/Site Managers. The ideal candidate will have previously managed multiple sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors. Experience in constructing education, commercial, student accommodation, hotel, care, mixed use and industrial schemes is beneficial.

The Company encourages all employees to continually develop their professional experience by embarking on training courses. They provide a flexible working environment for all. Dependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £80,000 per annum & package, plus car allowance on top of the yearly salary.
