Hours- 36 hours per week. 8am-3:40pm Mon - Fri Remuneration and benefits Excellent salary package £40K- £45k Per Anum dependent on experience, you will also be entitled to fantastic Holidays - 25 days 9 Bank Holidays, Company DC pension scheme with maximum 11% company contribution, Discounted Healthcare – Self-paid with BUPA, Company full sick pay (subject to length of service), Onsite Company Gym, Free parking plus many more Your duties and responsibilities will be Perform planned trip and alarm testing for SIL 1 and above systems to ensure compliance with international and site standards. Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities according to defined procedures. Troubleshoot and rectify instrumentation faults, ensuring root causes are identified and resolved. Participate flexibly as part of teams, including various trades, during planned tasks or turnaround events. Conduct hazardous area inspections, remedial repairs, and installation to ATEX standards. Liaise with engineers and supervisors regarding production challenges and suggest potential improvements. Execute testing and commissioning of newly installed instrumentation as part of project work.You will have the following qualifications and experience Time-served Instrument or Electrical/Instrument apprenticeship, preferably indentured (NVQ Level 3 / C&G / ONC). COMPEX training (preferred but not essential). Strong SHE standards, excellent diagnostic/problem-solving skills, and the ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to read and interpret loop drawings, schematics, and P&ID’s. Relevant level of instrumentation experience. Experience working in a high-hazard COMAH chemical plant is preferred, but not essential. Familiarity with DCS systems is preferred. Highly motivated and self-managing individual with a high degree of independence.
