SHOP SUPERVISOR
About Us:
Our client, Jai Rajal Ltd T/a Weymoor Post Office at Birmingham, B17 0TG, is retail establishment specializes in offering a diverse range of products and services. We require a shop supervisor who can supervise all store and post office activities in an orderly and professional manner to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and to provide maximum security and protection of merchandise, filling change requirements, etc, Also responsible for registering cash funds, including deposits and store change fund counts and accounting for overages and shortages, Responsible to perform and supervise housekeeping duties. These duties include but are not limited to cleaning and straightening the sales floor and production areas by sweeping, mopping, washing and/or dusting as needed.
Also, attend to store safety conditions as determined by our policy, perform necessary record keeping and reporting of money in an accurate and timely manner, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be responsible for other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Supervise functions such as: goods inwards, storage and goods outward to proper location, issue receipts, sort and select goods.
2) Responsible for registering cash funds, including store change fund counts and accounting for overages and shortages.
3) Oversees the operations at the post office and manage the staff.
4) Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning and straightening of the sales floor and production areas by sweeping, mopping, washing and/or dusting as needed.
5) Attend to store safety conditions as determined by our policy set by the Director.
6) Perform necessary record keeping, deposits and reporting of money, in an accurate and timely manner.
7) Handle sale of groceries, lottery, pay point- bills payment, pick up and collect services like amazon, Evri and royal mail etc.
8) To maintain a high level of confidentiality and responsibility while challenging customers for identity during off-license sales.
9) Supervise CCTV to investigate incidents such as theft/false transaction.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experience retail trade with at least 1 year experience in supervising a retail shop.
2. Experience using a till cash register, pay station system, secure paying machine.
3. Ability to communicate effectively in English (must), Hindi(preferred), Gujarati(preferred) verbally and written, to cater all customers’ needs and requirements.
4. Able to calculate and execute basic accounting and cash control procedures.
5. Basic judgment skills to determine the value of goods.
6. Basic computer skills with Microsoft office and internet savvy.
7. Above all the candidates should be Trustworthy, should be accountable and responsible while performing the duties on job.
SALARY RANGE: £32000 to £35000 depending on experience.
LOCATION: BIRMINGHAM, B17 0TG - UK.
JOB TYPE: Full-time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week.
