We are looking for a new Materials Controller, to work alongside our already established team! You will be responsible for ensuring the effective processing of accurate stock transactions, goods distribution and the safeguarding of company assets.
A key element of your role will be to ensure you adhere to business policies, procedures and guidelines, alongside managing internal and external relationships. What you will be doing:
1. Timebound goods in/out
2. Tight inventory control
3. Accurately maintain Supply Chain system data
4. Ensure effective control of stock into, around and out of the business in-line with procedures and demand
5. Receipt and shipment of service repairs, in line with Service Level Agreements
6. Receipt of PO’s from suppliers
7. Kitting of sales orders and works orders in line with system demand
8. Dispatch of shipments including packing and preparation of courier manifests as appropriate
9. Carrying out perpetual inventory checks to ensure constant accuracy of stock records and actual physical state
10. Ensuring that stock is correctly labelled and stored
11. Liaison with both internal and external customers at all levels
12. Manoeuvring forklift trucks safely, including loading and unloading goods
13. Adherence to health and safety regulations, attending additional courses as and when required
What we are looking for:
1. Experience in a similar transactional stock role
2. Valid counterbalance forklift truck licence
3. Knowledge and understanding of safety protocols, such as manual handling awareness (MHA), to prevent accidents and injuries
4. Good communication skills, with ability to adjust style to relevant audiences
5. Ability to meet commitments and deadlines, whilst being flexible and open to the needs of the business
6. Calm in the face of adversity and able to work under pressure
7. Excellent time-keeping and organizational skills, able to prioritise own workload
8. Highly self-motivated and target driven with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
9. Excellent attention to detail
10. Capable of manual handling in a safe and efficient manner
11. Basic IT knowledge and experience
