On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the organisation to build on existing initiatives and implement new ones that support our diversity and inclusion strategy and action plans. You will lead the Diversity and Inclusion strategy and action plan, including working on the next phase of our Diversity Accreditation and support achieving our business commitments and KPIs. You will work closely with the wider People team to work on activities to increase diversity such as Early Careers, Recruitment, Talent and more. You will be highly visible, creative and influential, representing the People team internally and promote our work externally. You'll be able to anticipate future trends and respond positively to business needs. You will be a subject matter expert and credible organisational champion, devising, developing EDI best practice and collaborating with the different parts of the business on implementing inclusive behaviours and approaches in a way that can be sustained over time. As well as leading EDI internally, you will also be collaborating with other industry partners on industry wide EDI activities. You will support in developing our people to integrate the principles and practice of EDI into their everyday work to continue embedding an inclusive culture. What skills and experience are we looking for? Extensive successful experience in the field of Diversity and Inclusion Able to work collaboratively across boundaries and achieve results through others at all levels and a track record of fostering and sustaining partnerships Have an innovative approach to complex situations to generate new perspectives, react positively to problems and develop practical and effective solutions Good, practical understanding of internal communications required for promoting and embedding EDI, liaising effectively with Internal Communications colleagues Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation Proven successful experience of implementing and managing a Diversity and Inclusion strategy within a medium / large organisation Experience managing a Diversity and Inclusion accreditation Proven experience developing a pay gap action plan report Demonstrable experience in influencing stakeholders successfully at all levels within an organisation Proven enabling leadership style, team player and communications/influencing skills We would also like, but isn't crucial: Proven track record of operating in a large, complex and unionised environment CIPD Qualified If that sounds like the right fit for you, we'd love to hear from you, please click apply and complete an application form.
