Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team based in Evercreech, Somerset.
An Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a rewarding role. Your main responsibility will be transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. This can be done as two-person crews or alone, so holding a full UK driving licence and being physically fit is essential.

Other duties include:
* Transporting 'end of life' service users with empathy.
* Building rapport with patients and relatives.
* Lifting, securing, and assisting patients in and out of ambulances.
* Handover of patients at healthcare facilities or to families.
* Transferring patients in various settings, including flights.
* Assisting with challenging behavior and mental health issues.
* Maintaining ambulance safety, cleanliness, and tidiness.
To be considered, you will need to:
* Be committed to patient care.
* Communicate effectively, especially in emotional circumstances.
* Be a calm, careful driver with no more than three penalty points.
* Work well in a team.
* Be physically fit for patient handling.
* Pass an enhanced DBS check (company funded).
* Work flexible shifts.
* Be familiar with the local area.
