We have an exciting opportunity on a 9 month fixed term contract or secondment for a confident applicant with either a professional registration in mental health nursing or allied health profession to undertake the Clinical Specialist role within the Ripon Integrated Community Team based at Windsor House in Harrogate.
We are interested in connecting with people who can inspire, embrace working as equal partners with internal and external stakeholders, help to design, support and oversee the delivery of the very best care and treatment for local people. Applicants should be enthusiastic and driven, with excellent knowledge of mental health services from across the community system, including primary care, specialist services, local authority & the voluntary and community sector (VCSE).
Main duties of the job
The Integrated Community Team covers the Ripon and rural villages area and is a multi-disciplinary professional team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and provide clinical leadership within the team, working alongside the Team Manager to support team members while maintaining the offer of intervention and therapies to a defined caseload.
Ideally, you will hold a non-medical prescribing qualification or be experienced in delivering one of the governed psychological therapies, such as DBT, CAT, CBT, or EMDR.
The post holder will be part of a resilient and professional team working collaboratively with internal and external partners to support the needs of those experiencing a deterioration in their mental health and their family carer needs. The team takes a recovery-oriented, formulation-driven approach, which values shared decision-making.
You will be able to demonstrate strong clinical leadership, supervisory and coaching skills, and excellent knowledge of mental health care, the Mental Health Act, and complex risk assessment.
Strong team working is essential, requiring networking with a variety of people, as well as working in partnership with a range of different agencies both internal and external to the team.
A commitment to providing high-quality services and making a difference to people's experience and outcomes is the cornerstone of this post.
