Job Title: Principal Commissioning Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Commissioning Engineer to join our clients team in Reading for a 52-week project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful commissioning and handover of our projects to the end user.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of the Commissioning technicians under their direct responsibility
2. Adherence to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that the commissioning team members correctly apply procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities
3. Interface with the Client team and other project disciplines (Design Engineering, Training, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Construction, Operations and Maintenance)
4. Functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables
5. Day to day progress monitoring and reporting
6. Input to, production and checking of Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation, Commissioning Reports)
7. Assisting the Commissioning Team Leader in the identification of the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) requirements – approval of vendor test documentation, witnessing of vendor testing, approval of vendor test results where required
8. Responsible for production and checking of the Commissioning Test Documentation
9. Ensuring that all mandatory test pre-requisites are in place
10. Carry out Risk Assessment and produce Safe Systems of Work
11. Responsible for the execution of commissioning tests to schedule
12. Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results and control of all raw data associated with the tests they carry out
13. Review and acceptance of completed test records
14. Compilation and review of Commissioning LTQR packages
15. Day to Day planning of commissioning execution activities
Requirements:
1. Eligibility for SC (Security Clearance) is mandatory
2. Previous experience working with AWE (Atomic Weapons Establishment) is preferred
3. Must hold 18th Edition qualification
4. Proven experience in handover processes to end users
5. Leading teams of Commissioning Engineers/Technicians
6. Extensive commissioning experience in highly regulated environment
7. Electrical & Instrumentation and Control Systems commissioning experience
