Job Purpose:
The Nursery Manager works closely with the Director whilst also being expected to work autonomously in relation to everyday management responsibilities. The role requires the confidence to make decisions considering the reputation and financial aspects of the business whilst balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
To provide operational management of the nursery facilities and staff, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is always delivered. Responsible for company adherence to Banana Moon policies and procedures. Consistently meeting legislative requirements and following education curriculum, delivering standards which ensure the highest possible inspection grading.
Ensure that the training, support, mentoring, and supervision of the staff team inspires and leads ambitious practice. To create a safe, caring, and welcoming setting in which families are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
To promote a successful and profitable business, engaging with the local community and marketing the nursery to reach maximum occupancy whilst providing excellent customer care.
Salary:
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. A full and relevant level 3 qualification as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List.
2. DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
3. Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate.
4. Safeguarding training and qualification.
5. Minimum of 2 year’s post qualifying experience.
6. Minimum of 1 year’s management experience.
7. 12-week induction programme.
8. Managers Mandatory Training (two full days).
9. Reflective manager training (full day).
10. Access to in-house online training.
