About the Future Opportunities When positions become available, successful candidates will join our Health & Safety teams, playing a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety across various scopes including: • Civil construction safety management • Mechanical systems and operations safety • Electrical installation and maintenance safety • Industrial safety during pre-operations and operations • Construction to operations transition safety Potential Role Scope Depending on your discipline and the specific opportunity, responsibilities may include: • Promoting and developing positive safety culture • Implementing HSE management systems and procedures • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments • Managing incident reporting and investigations • Providing specialist safety advice for specific work scopes • Supporting development of safety arrangements from construction through commissioning • Delivering safety training and toolbox talks • Creating and reviewing safety documentation • Supporting ISO 45001 processes Required Experience & Qualifications Essential: • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) • NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it (preferred) • IOSH membership (working towards Chartered status preferred) • Minimum 4 years experience in large-scale construction or industrial environments • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation • Experience with RIDDOR reporting and investigation Discipline-Specific Requirements (depending on role): • Mechanical: Experience in power plant or industrial systems safety • Electrical: Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and practices • Civil: Construction site safety management experience Desirable: • Experience in nuclear or high-hazard industries • CITB MAPS H&S Test or CCNSG • Root cause analysis expertise • Experience with safety culture development • ISO 45001 implementation experience Personal Attributes • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to influence at all organizational levels • Analytical mindset with attention to detail • Proactive approach to safety management • Commitment to continuous improvement Potential Package Elements When positions become available, they typically offer: • Competitive daily rates (£430-£550 depending on pay route) • Annual salaries (£65,000-£70,000 for permanent roles) • Accommodation allowances where applicable • Various payment options (PAYE/Umbrella - subject to position) • Long-term contract opportunities Locations • Sizewell C, Suffolk • Hinkley Point C, Somerset Important Note This is not an application for a current vacancy.
