Y Position Type Management Market Director of Proactive Sales – Pacific Islands Reports to : Market Director of Sales & Distribution – Fiji and Samoa Based at : Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort Job highlights: · Assist with strategic direction to DOSMs and hotel sales teams to grow account share and drive revenue across all brands in alignment with regional priorities and overall group segment strategies. · Maintains responsibility for setting group sales targets for each property in partnership with DOSMs. · Assist to drive and deliver Marriott’s Leisure Distribution Strategy for connected wholesale partners across Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia. · Represents as Pacific Island Cluster lead contact for connected wholesalers and Expedia TAAP partners in key source markets · Maintains accountability for achieving market revenue goals, team booking pace goals, cross-over goals and overall financial performance of hotels within their market. · Guides hotel sales teams to identify accounts and create account plans and pull through (i.e. oversees execution, provides key information and data on accounts to sellers). · Lead point-of-contact with the GSO and Area Sales leaders; establishes pull-through of segment strategies; facilitates lead closure for leads generated by GSO and Area Sales to properties and supports negotiations with accounts. · Provide property-specific education and key updates to GSO and Area Sales leaders. · Updates and circulates group sales need periods to GSO & Area Sales. · Assist MDOSD and senior leadership teams in stakeholder and owner relationships as it relates to the Sales & Marketing discipline and the continual selling of Marriott’s competitive advantages. · Collaborates with Director Sales Centre, DOSMs and Revenue Management on pricing proposals; executes competitive shops and provides information to DOSMs and DORMs to aid in pricing decisions. · Provides direction to CRN sellers to identify and pull-through select accounts. · Oversees the city-wide strategy for the region. · Represents Pacific Island Cluster by initiating special events, including sales blitzes, customer events and FAM trips; represents hotels at tradeshows. · Promotes marketing guidance to hotel marketing teams in regards to Group Sales. · Creates and shares best practices for group sales amongst properties. · Manages key tools/resources and training for sales teams (including CVENT, Topline). · Lead a team of 6 proactive sellers based in Fiji and Sydney · Cross collaboration with Reactive Sales and Sales Centre leaders in Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia · Cluster representation in destination shows in key source markets Requirement:
