Directly Responsible to Welding Cell Leader Overall Role: Produce fabrications and welded frames to the Company engineering drawings and standard schedules from stock materials, which are primarily aluminum extrusion, angle and box sections Ability to work on both an individual basis or as part of a team, with interest in providing alternative ideas, and solutions in improving product build Ability to use company equipment, saws, CNC press brake, guillotine sheet metal equipment etc. a formal training certificate is desirable Ability to use both MIG and TIG welding equipment; a formal training certificate is desirable Ability to finish welded assembly or individual piece parts by fettling process; a formal training certificate is desirable Meet the weekly targets set for the assembly of units as specified in workload documentation Identify and expedite any missing components ensuring their availability to meet the build schedule completion/delivery date or provide feedback where the date cannot be achieved, rescheduling the unit assembly to meet any late deliveries as per supervisors’ instruction Liaise with Design Engineer and Supervisor to ensure that modifications or amendments are completed Competent in carrying out and control final QC of unit ready for hand over to assembly teams Ensure that the department maintains a high level of quality while working to company standards and H & S requirements Assist with training new staff members and personnel assessments Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Expected hours: 37.5 per week Additional pay: Bonus scheme Benefits: Additional leave Company events Company pension On-site parking Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
