What You’ll Do:
As a Transport Planning Consultant you will play a key role in shaping our projects and driving projects forward. Your responsibilities will include:
* Prepare technical reports, including Access Appraisals, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Walking, Cycling, Horse-Riding Assessment and Reviews.
* Carry out junction capacity modelling and CAD design work.
* Liaise with stakeholders, external project team members and clients.
* Represent the company at meetings, public consultations and exhibitions.
* Undertake site visits.
* Working collaboratively, supporting our Environmental teams with the production of Construction and Environmental Management Plans and Noise and Vibration Assessments, including assisting with monitoring sites.
Requirements:
Qualifications: A degree in a relevant subject is preferred (Geography, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Planning, Transport Planning) but not essential, additional qualifications are advantageous. Excellent analytical and numeracy skills. Proficient in conducting research and producing high quality reports.
Experience: At least two years’ experience in the transport planning industry. Committed to continuous professional development, such as Transport Planning Professional (TPP).
Personal attributes: A high level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility. A pragmatic attitude and the ability to deal with uncertainty and change. Strong observation and persuasion skills. The ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner. Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and make decisions around competing priorities.
