Design/sizing of all the major Data Acquisition and Process Components, including the identification of the “fit for purpose” hardware platform and software code solutions, from conceptual/basic to detailed design including the details necessary to manage the supply of these components according to the national (CEI) and international (IEC/EN) electrical codes.
Main responsibilities
* Ensure the execution of design activities according to the C&I engineering principles as well as to the best C&I engineering practices.
* Develop Technical specs, I/O lists, Instruments lists, selection of sensors and actuators, Control System Architecture, HMI schematics development, FCD / ICD schematics, wiring diagram schematics, technical evaluation of the Supplier’s offers, technical follow-up of the supplies.
* Follow up the manufacturing, the factory acceptance tests, the on-site installation and testing activities of the mentioned C&I systems/components.
* Support the on-site installation activities for C&I works.

* Design of new Control systems and integration of control systems in existing ecosystems (including upgrade or refurbishment of existing plant, e.g., NPP PLEX programs).
* Experience in P&ID instrument selection, developing and reviewing instrument lists, instrument datasheets, and inline instrument sizing.
* Design of DCS/PLC panels, cable list, and field JB termination.
* Knowledge of relevant Electrical norms and standard (e.g., CEI/EN/IEC) including functional safety (i.e. IEC 61508, IEC 61513) and Cybersecurity OT.
* Knowledge of control/electrical cabinet schematic design software (e.g., Eplan, AutoCAD Electric, IGE+XAO).
* Knowledge of nuclear specific codes and standard for safety application (e.g., IEEE 1E harsh and mild environment and CGD programs, RCC-E K1-K2-K3 levels, IEC) including development of nuclear safety functional requirements for C&I systems and environmental and/or seismic qualification programs.
* Knowledge of the relevant EU Directives (e.g., LV, EMC, Machinery, ATEX).
* Experience in electrical on-site works including development of construction and commissioning documentation.
Additional competences:
* Reading and programming PLCs (mainly SIEMENS), NI LabView and ABB platforms/controllers.
* Experience in engineering design activities relating to LV systems both at the plant distribution architecture level and at the interface level between LV PCs/MCCs, sub-distribution boards and plant C&I systems (applying legacy methods or digital buses e.g., IEC 61850) for nuclear applications.
