Job Title: Project Manager Location: Buckinghamshire Contract Type: 18-months - to start End of February Salary: Competitive Day Rate Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in NEC contracts and proven experience in working in Highway projects. This is an exciting 18-month contract opportunity based in Buckinghamshire, where you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a major highways project. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the project from inception to completion, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with NEC contract terms. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full project lifecycle of highways projects under the NEC contract framework, from planning and design to construction and handover. Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met while adhering to the project’s budget and quality standards. Oversee procurement processes and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure timely and efficient delivery of work. Collaborate with stakeholders including local authorities, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the project runs smoothly. Monitor and manage project risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place and executed. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and clear communication. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Support the team in resolving any issues related to project delivery, such as contract disputes, delays, or quality control. Key Requirements: Experience working as a Project Manager on highways projects, specifically under the NEC contract. Strong understanding of the NEC suite of contracts, including experience in managing and administering them. Proven ability to manage complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with local authorities, contractors, and suppliers. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain project momentum. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to highways and construction projects. Excellent communication and reporting skills
