We are recruiting an Assistant Project Officer, Energy and Decarbonisation at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday) Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time Location: Ty Penallta This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Asset Maintenance and Repair Team. We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The post holder will be expected to support the Project Manager in the provision of a high-quality repairs and maintenance service for the Asset Maintenance and Repairs section working across a wide range of functions, contracts, work programmes and projects. You will be responsible for delivering a customer focused Maintenance Service in accordance with the objectives set out by the Council in its Welsh Housing Quality Standard Programme, Planned Asset Maintenance Strategy, and the Renting Homes Wales Act. You will undertake pre and post inspections and contract duties and assist in the preparation of contract works and response maintenance, ensuring adherence to Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), Renting Homes Wales Act (RHWA) and WHQS23. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic team delivering reactive repairs/planned maintenance works to our homes. Therefore, you must have an excellent work ethic, good communication skills, and a dynamic approach to the role and be able to lead by example. For the role, we ask that you have: A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Sustainability. Sound knowledge of contract management within the Housing sector or similar environment. Proven experience of contract and project management in the Housing sector.
