Job overview
To work within Neighbourhood Teams supporting registered and non-registered clinicians with the development of their confidence in clinical practice and required competencies. Provide clinical supervision and a safe space for reflection for individuals and small groups. To link clinical skills with researched based knowledge.
Develop workforce skills by working alongside community nurses in clinics and on home visits. Build a professional relationship with community clinicians and teams.
Ensure excellence in clinical practice by adhering to CWP SOP's and policies.
Deputise for the Quality and Professional Practice Lead, when required, at a variety of CWP meetings and events.
Be able to work autonomously when necessary to deliver internal clinical courses.
Collate data weekly with regards to the role and clinical activity. Support with ongoing evaluation of this role and clinical skills within Neighbourhood teams.
Main duties of the job
1. Work alongside community clinicians on home visits and in clinics across the Neighbourhood care group.
2. Facilitate clinical training sessions.
3. Provide clinical supervision.

Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Level 3 Teaching and Assessing qualification or equivalent
Knowledge and Expertise
* Specialist knowledge and experience in general Community Nursing / District Nursing services
* Significant experience in a clinical Community Nursing Team
* Able to work autonomously within a variety of settings
* Effective teaching of clinical skills
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team
* Effective and excellent communication skills
* Basic IT skills including Word, Excel and Power Point
* Presentation skills/ability to deliver training
* An understanding of performance management and ability to develop and utilise monitoring systems
* Evidence of formal teaching experience
Experience
* Significant experience post grad clinical experience as a Registered General Nurse
* Evidence of providing Registered Nurses and Student Nurses with support and education with core Community Nursing clinical skills
