An fantastic school based in Theale, West Berkshire has a role open for a psychology or criminology graduate to join their team as a Mental Health Youth Worker and kick-start their career. The school focuses on providing a safe environment for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs to access education and learn independence.
The Mental Health Youth Worker role will consist of providing consistent support and encouragement to children on a 1-1 basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping these children achieve their potential, coaching them through self-regulation techniques, healthy coping mechanisms, and identifying triggers in advance.
This position would be highly beneficial to a graduate wanting to follow a career in psychology or criminology due to the frontline experience supporting young people from diverse backgrounds, many suffering developmental trauma relating to neglect or mistreatment. The Mental Health Youth Worker will be responsible for acting as a role model to the students and giving them guidance regarding educational and non-academic challenges.
1. £80-£95 daily wage
2. SEN and SEMH education

6. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 3:30
