Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are thrilled to support a local organisation in Crewe as they seek an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £27,000, with a raise to £28,000 after probation.
Your Role:
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining financial records and ensuring smooth operations.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Purchase Ledger: Processing approximately 60-70 purchase invoices monthly with precision and efficiency.
Sales Ledger: Raising invoices, issuing statements, creating credit notes, and adding sales invoices to the Sage 50 system.
Credit Control: Chasing outstanding debt through telephone, email, and letter to ensure timely payments.
Bank Reconciliations: Keeping records accurate and up to date.
Petty Cash Processing: Managing and reconciling petty cash transactions.
Sub-contractor Invoices: Matching and reconciling invoices against our internal systems.
Ad-hoc Finance Admin: Supporting the team with various administrative tasks as needed.What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
Previous experience in a Credit Control or Purchase Ledger role.
Proficiency in Sage 50 and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
