We have an opportunity for a support worker to work with one of our clients in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Due to a brain injury in childhood our client requires general assistance with his day to day needs along with support attending appointments, accessing the community, building routine/encouraging personal care and maintaining his home environment. He has cognitive impairment and poor inertia alongside some very mild behavioural issues relating to acceptance of need for support. Our client has not had support previously so will need someone with good relationship building ability to help him feel safe and comfortable with this but also someone able to be flexible in approach while they build a good understanding of the nuances of his needs. Due to the nature of the clients needs and background we can only offer this role to a male support worker who has a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle. Pay rate: £15.00 per hour. Working Hours: Flexible (likely to be 18 per week over Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10:00-16:00) but subject to change as/if client needs change. Key Responsibilities: Engaging with personalised routines. Assisting with physiotherapy programme. Assisting with medication management. Providing emotional support and companionship. Aiding with monitoring food intake. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions. Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work the specified hours.
