Position: Senior Production Manager
Project: International Feature-Length Documentary
Start Date: w/c April 28th
Location: Remote with occasional meetings in London + Brighton
Contract: 3 days per week through to October 2026
Speakit is looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to join our team for an upcoming international feature-length documentary due for release in October 2026. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing complex documentary productions across multiple territories for theatrical release and streamers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of production, from pre-production through post and delivery to an international distributor.
2. Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, budgets, and logistics.
3. Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and safety regulations in multiple countries.
4. Supervise contracting and management of freelancers and post-production facilities.
5. Work closely with the Director, Producers, and Editorial team to align production needs with creative goals.
6. Troubleshoot logistical challenges and ensure smooth operations across international locations.
Requirements:
1. High proficiency with the full Google Suite, and online file sharing systems including Dropbox.
2. Extensive network to hire APs, PCs, and production crew.
3. Minimum of three credits as a Production Manager on feature-length documentaries.
4. Extensive experience working with international production teams and multi-country logistics.
5. Excellent budgeting, cost-reporting, scheduling, and financial management skills.
6. Proficiency in handling international filming permits, visas, and compliance requirements.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work flexibly and under tight deadlines.
8. Strong communication and leadership abilities.
9. Experience with post-production workflows and deliverables.
